My name is Nakarin Teerapenun. I studied Fine Arts in Bangkok but later discovered that my true passion is jazz music, so I studied jazz music also.
I am currently a jazz instructor at Silpakorn University and professional musician. I discovered street photography in 2013. I found that there are many similarities between street photography and jazz music. The element of surprise and unpredictability challenges me. That’s what fuels my passion for both endeavours.
The three rules of life, according to Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson
1) Do not be afraid of anyone. Can you imagine what your life would be like if you weren't afraid of anyone?
2) Have a great bullshit detector, and learn how to use it, and how to apply it.
3) Be tender: Be open to the world, and in love with everything and everyone in it.
Bonus fourth rule: Practice how to feel sad without being sad.
